PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP
What we do; Who we are
Our PPG was formed in February 2013 with the aim of developing a positive and constructive relationship between patients, the practice and the community. We help ensure that the practice remains accountable and responsive to the needs of its patients.
We do this in a number of ways, for example through responding to:
- Individual comments that patients make to us
- The suggestion box in the surgery waiting room
- The feedback we receive from patient surveys and other sources.
The PPG meets regularly with representatives from the practice and our discussions – always lively – cover a wide range of issues. As well as engaging in what’s happening within the practice, we also review developments in the wider NHS which affect our patients, such as record confidentiality, regulations and health care initiatives. We take appropriate actions not only to inform our patients, but also to represent our patients’ interests to the NHS and other groups.
Contact Us
We greatly welcome your views about the practice and will treat them in the strictest confidence. You can contact us directly via our contact form.
Alternatively, you can post your comments to the surgery, or hand them in at reception, marked for PPG attention. Please note that we are not authorised to deal with individual complaints about the practice, and these should be directed to the Practice Manager, Sarah Lindsay.
